Negative Impacts on our Jarrah
If the assault on our jarrah forest continues Jarrahdale will lose its potential to become a viable, economic hub of forest tourism, providing education and recreational facilities for all to enjoy.
Residents of the south metropolitan area will lose the beauty and benefits of living amongst the magnificent giants of the forest and the vital flora and fauna habitat will be gone forever.
The Jarrahdale Forest Protectors are committed to keeping the magnificent giants alive. Join us by TAKING ACTION to save our forests.
The most pressing impacts on our native forests are listed below. However, just to give you ONE EXAMPLE: Over 40 years approximately two thirds of the Northern Jarrah Forest almost to Byford has been mined. Bauxite mining requires total forest destruction and selectively destroys the best jarrah forest. All this destruction for (wait for it!)... aluminium.
This is just one of the reasons the ancient forests need our help! Join the Jarrahdale Forest Protectors now and help us save our forests. Join us.
