The most pressing impacts on our native forests are listed below.  However, just to give you ONE EXAMPLE: Over 40 years approximately two thirds of the Northern Jarrah Forest  almost to Byford has been mined. Bauxite mining requires total forest destruction and selectively destroys the best jarrah forest. All this destruction for (wait for it!)... aluminium.
